Volunteer

There are an abundance of volunteer opportunities in our community. United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties is a volunteer-driven organization that relies heavily on the generous contribution of time and talent by hundreds of local individuals every year. In 2010, volunteers donated a total of 10,386 hours to helping the United Way. Volunteering is an opportunity to gain professional skills and gain a greater understanding of the needs in the community. Our staff is very flexible in working with volunteer’s schedules and career goals.

Right now the United Way is seeking office volunteers, Young Leaders Society members and Campaign Ambassadors.

Office volunteers:

A perfect opportunity to volunteer for 30 minutes or 360 days. Office volunteers work in assisting with clerical and high-priority projects that require additional office support.

We are seeking office volunteers to help with:

  • Bulk mailings

  • Preparing informational materials about United Way

  • Preparing and delivering Our Babies Can’t Wait materials to local doctor’s offices for first time parents

  • General research and data entry
